“And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, and those with gifts of healing, helping, administration, and various tongues.” 1 Corinthians 12:28
The Catholic Church provides more than 200,000 schools across the World, educating 56 million pupils. In the United Kingdom 1 child in every 10 attends a Catholic school. And what those schools do is important: just read what Paul has to say in Corinthians. Teachers are more important than people who speak in tongues, more important than those who run the Church, more important than doctors. Only apostles and prophets have more vital roles Saint Paul tells us, but actually, anyone who works in a school probably didn’t need telling.
